Step-by-Step Display Replacement Instructions
Ensure you have the ability to desolder a 34-pin VFD display and solder the LED display board.
You can also cut all the old display pins, remove the body, then desolder each pin individually and clean the holes using a solder wick.
The active area of the LED display is slightly larger than the original VFD, so a portion of the paint on the back of the acrylic display window must be removed. This procedure is detailed in the Step-by-Step Display Replacement Instructions.
